Me and my friend stayed here on a cycling holiday. The room was really nice, host was very informative and lovely, the location is great, really handy for the ferry, shops and restaurants. Highly reccomend anyone staying here
We spent 2 nights here for a few days around Lake Windermere. The location is perfect! Located around midway on the eastern side of the lake, it's within walking distance of many shops and the ferry. The room was well kept, clean and spacious. A large window with a lovely green view. Complementary Border biscuits added a nice touch as they're some of my favourite! On the upstairs landing there is a decent sized selection of DVDs to take back to your room. The bed mattress was rather soft and while I prefer a more firmer mattress, it was super comfy and I slept like a baby each night! The owner was away during our stay and was being managed by a lady who was very welcoming and provided some much appreciated local advice. While parking is available, the spaces are atop a pretty steep slope and spots are fairly narrow for larger sized vehicles. Overall, we had a very happy stay at Lingwood Lodge and would certainly consider a return if staying in the area again.
Am not a big writer for reviews so I'll keep it short. I stayed here for a few nights and was meet by the owner and she was very welcoming and polite and give us loads of ideas of were to go and what to do on our stay. The place was in a grate place to stay just a short 5 minute walk to get a boat and about a 10 minute walk to the center to the pubs and restaurants. I will go back again just because of location and how welcoming it was. I would definitely tell people to go
We had a fabulous stay at Lingwood Lodge, Sandra is a lovely helpful lady who was at hand at all times, with assistance and info on the area, the lodge is a very lovely homely place to stay with fantastic views, we will definitely return.
A lovely place to spend a few days exploring Windemere. Sandra & her hubby are lovely people & go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
We had two lovely nights at Lingwood Lodge. The beds were incredibly comfortable and very well situated. Sandra gave us some great recommendations and we felt very much at home. Will definitely consider Lingwood again next time we're in the lakes.
I've stayed here twice now and would recommend to anyone. The rooms are a great size and are clean and come with everything you need for a short stay. The grounds are small and beautiful with seating outside for a bit of a breather. Carparking is tight but absolutely manageable in a large car. Couldn't possibly ask for a better location at this price, and Sandra was a brilliant host. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Windermere or Bowness now.
The rooms are lovely and facilities are very clean and tidy. Pillows are very soft and beds are comfy. Great location and really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were awesome and gave us lots of recommendations taking into account we needed halal food options. Will definitely visit again!
